# Every aircraft, instructor and booking on one live schedule.

RALPH's schedule shows every aircraft and instructor in one live view. People book on the web, on their phone or by asking Ralph, and each booking is checked against your operation's rules before it lands. Two bookings can never reserve the same aircraft or instructor at once, and every change reaches the people it affects and the calendars they already use.

*A Saturday on the schedule: aircraft and instructors in one view, a grounded aircraft, and a booking held for approval.*

## How it works

1. **Ask for a slot.** Pick a time on the schedule, or ask Ralph: "When are the R44 and an instructor both free on Saturday?" Ralph finds the times that work for the aircraft and the people.
2. **RALPH checks it.** Before anything is booked, the booking is checked against your rules: authorisations, airworthiness, notice, length and opening hours. You see the verdict first, and why.
3. **Everyone's in step.** The booking is confirmed, or held for approval with the reason shown. It's on the schedule at once, and in the calendars of the people on it.

## Questions, answered

### Can two bookings clash?

No. Once a booking reserves an aircraft or an instructor, RALPH refuses any other booking that would reserve them at the same time, whoever makes it, whether that's a member, an instructor or Ralph.

### What happens when an aircraft is grounded?

The grounding and its reason are on the record, and your airworthiness rule decides what a booking on that aircraft gets, whether a note, a hold for approval or a refusal. Ralph can move the bookings already on it to another aircraft, rechecking each one.

### Can bookings be held for approval instead of refused?

Yes. Each of your rules advises, asks for approval or blocks, as you choose. A held booking keeps its slot while it waits, and shows which rule held it and why. If nobody approves it in time, the hold lapses and the slot is freed.

### Will bookings show in my own calendar?

Yes. Subscribe to your bookings from Google Calendar, Outlook or Apple Calendar with a private link. Calendar apps refresh on their own timetable, Google's sometimes hours apart, so for what's free right now, ask RALPH or Ralph.
